About the English Springer Spaniel Breed

Breed Standard & Traits
What is the difference between bench (show) and field English Springer Spaniels?
English Springer Spaniels diverge into two distinct lines. We breed exclusively Bench (Show) conformation Springers. Bench Springers have luxurious feathered coats, a classic square body frame, and a gentle, balanced temperament that thrives as a household family pet. Field Springers have short, coarse coats and an intense working hunt drive requiring rigorous daily field trials.
Are English Springer Spaniels good with children and other pets?
Yes, exceptionally so! English Springer Spaniels are famously patient, empathetic, and playful with children. They have a natural desire to be part of the pack and typically get along wonderfully with other dogs and cats when properly socialized.
How much exercise does an English Springer Spaniel need daily?
As a sporting breed, adult Springers need about 45 to 60 minutes of daily physical activity—such as brisk neighborhood walks, outdoor games of fetch, or trail hiking—alongside mental stimulation like puzzle toys or scent games. Inside the home, bench-line Springers have a wonderful 'off-switch' and love to relax at your feet.
Why are English Springer Spaniels called 'Velcro dogs'?
They earn this affectionate nickname because they form intense, loving attachments to their humans. They love following family members from room to room and resting their heads upon your lap. They thrive when included in daily household life.

Health Clearances, Genetics & Warranty

Genetic Testing
What health screenings do Victoria Lina parent dogs undergo?
Both our sires and dams complete rigorous orthopedic and genetic screenings before breeding: OFA Hip Dysplasia, OFA Elbows, CAER Eye Clearances (annual board-certified ophthalmologist evaluation), and clear genetic panels for Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA-cord1) and Phosphofructokinase Deficiency (PFK). Documentation is provided to adoptive families.
What does the 2-Year Genetic Health Warranty cover?
Our contract covers any life-altering or congenital genetic disorders for 24 months. If a covered congenital health issue arises, we provide a replacement puppy or refund according to our written adoption contract terms.
What vaccinations and veterinary care do puppies receive before go-home day?
Puppies receive a comprehensive physical examination by a licensed veterinarian, age-appropriate core vaccinations, deworming at 2, 4, 6, and 8 weeks, and an ISO-compliant microchip. Families receive complete health records signed by our clinic.

Adoption, Deposits & Delivery Logistics

Adoption Process
What is the reservation deposit and is it refundable?
A reservation deposit of $500 secures your place in our selection queue upon application approval. The deposit is non-refundable, but it is 100% transferable to any future litter if your preferred gender, color, or timing is not met. The standard adoption fee is $900.
When does puppy selection occur?
Puppy selection occurs when puppies reach 6 weeks of age, conducted in the exact order deposits were received. By 6 weeks, physical markings and individual temperaments are clearly defined. We support both in-person visits and virtual selection via detailed video and phone consultations.
How does Flight Nanny delivery work?
For adopters who cannot travel to pick up their puppy in person, we arrange for a licensed flight nanny to carry the puppy in-cabin under their airplane seat. The nanny monitors, feeds, and cuddles the puppy throughout the journey and hands them directly to you at your airport's arrivals terminal. We never ship puppies as cargo.
